FAQ
1. What is Hi-Orbit?
Hi-Orbit is an immersive escape room adventure. Set in 1980, you and your team are on a family trip to Joshua Tree when, in the middle of the night, your father gets abducted by a UFO! Can you solve the mysteries of this campsite to get him back to earth before it’s too late?
Explore a fully immersive (and climate controlled) world with amazing sets and props, solve puzzles, unlock secret areas, and become the hero of your very own story. Like a giant escape room you can explore at your own pace with amazing technology.

2. How long does the experience last?
The full experience takes approximately 60 minutes to complete.
3. How many people can play at once?
We recommend 2–8 players per group.
4. Is Hi-Orbit scary?
No. It’s suspenseful and mysterious, but not horror-based. Think E.T. meets Stranger Things, with a nostalgic twist.
5. Is it suitable for kids?
Absolutely! Hi-Orbit is designed for ages 8+. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
6. Do we need any special knowledge or skills?
Nope! All clues are in the room. You’ll need curiosity, observation, and teamwork.
7. Is there a timer?
No. And yes! Kind of. For most of the experience you’re free to explore Hi-Orbit at your own pace, however once you get to the “final level” a timer will initiate, like a mini-escape room, and you’ll have to finish before the time runs out, or else! We promise you’ll have fun no matter what.
8. Are walk-ins allowed?
Absolutely. If another team has already embarked on the experience you may have to wait 20–30 minutes, but have no fear! We have an awesome arcade in the lobby to pass the time.
9. Where are you located?
Hi-Orbit is in Twentynine Palms, CA—just outside of Joshua Tree.
10. Can I reschedule or cancel my booking?
Yes. Reschedules or cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before your booking.
