Welcome to Hi-Orbit — an immersive escape room adventure like no other.

Set in the desert outskirts of Joshua Tree, Hi-Orbit transports you to the year 1980, where you and your team are on a family camping trip that takes a wild turn. In the dead of night, your father — an eccentric inventor and UFO enthusiast — is suddenly abducted by aliens. What follows is a retro-futuristic journey through glowing crystals, cryptic tech, secret bunkers, and otherworldly mysteries.

This is not your average escape room.

Hi-Orbit is a story-driven experience that blends puzzle-solving, exploration, and cinematic set design, all powered by custom-built tech and interactive environments. There’s no ticking clock (until there is…), no one-size-fits-all path — just a richly detailed world waiting to be uncovered at your own pace.

Hi-Orbit was created by Thomas Meston and Blake Hodges-Koch, the team behind Wild Heart Ranch Joshua Tree, along with an incredible crew of engineers, artists, contractors, and programmers who helped bring this vision to life. Every element — from the glowing gadgets to the vintage props and strange transmissions on the radio — was handcrafted with care.
